Bangkok was the first stop in my recent trip to Thailand. Being a popular tourist destination, there are thousands of hotels and places to stay at all budgets, so deciding where to stay in Bangkok can be a bit confusing. My boyfriend and me stayed at the Avani Atrium Bangkok, a 4 star hotel with contemporary style offering affordable luxury.

The lobby is beautifully decorated with a giant golden tree and sofas to relax.
- Location And Transport
The Atrium Bangkok is located on New Petchaburi Rd, about a 10 minute walk from the Petchaburi MRT station. This station connects to the Makkasan airport rail link to Suvarnabhumi (BKK) Airport so it is really simple to get from the airport on public transportation (we did this). The hotel offers a shuttle service to Phetchaburi subway station, every hour. You can also use the metered taxis that stop at the hotel door. Getting around is easy. The building is easy to spot, with a sort of spaceship dome sitting on the roof.+
- Room
We arrived at Avani around 11 am after a long flight from Istanbul. The hotel staff kindly welcomed us and after check-in (which was absolutely fast) we were escorted up to our room. The doorbell rang some minutes later: a staff member with our luggage. Once in our room, my boyfriend just couldn’t wait for me to take a picture of the bed and jumped to it. Can’t blame him though, the bed was just so comfy and big. Definitely what we needed after our day of travelling. We were welcomed with chocolates and fruit. a lovely detail.
The room was really comfortable and modern. It had everything we needed: a chaise lounge for relaxing next to the window, LCD TV, a fridge, kettle, a desk, iron, telephone, safe and air-conditioning. The bathroom had a walk in rain shower which we loved. Toiletries were provided. The hotel has eight different room types so there is something for all budgets. We stayed in a Avani Deluxe Room.
- Wi-fi is provided in all rooms and areas.
- Breakfast
Breakfast is served at PUBLIC restaurant in the hotel lobby and offers a great variety of food, it is hard to choose. This is just what you need to start your long exploration days in the city. Public restaurant is open all day and offers international food.
- Amenities
The hotel offers a pool which you’ll need for escaping Bangkok’s heat. There is a bar by the pool where you can enjoy food and drinks. There is also a gym, spa and barber located on the same level. Yoga classes are also held on site.
Avani Atrium is also home of the famous Japanese Restaurant Benihana. We really wanted to have dinner here but spent so much time outside the hotel visiting the city that we finally couldn’t make it to Benihana Avani. 2 nights in Bangkok are just not barely enough. Next time we’re in Bangkok, we’ll make sure to eat at Benihana.
Avani Atrium is a great hotel in Bangkok to stay with your couple, family or friends. It is the perfect place to relax after long days of urban exploration. If you’re planning a stay in Bangkok, I’d highly recommend the Avani Atrium for its fresh atmosphere, modern décor and impeccable service.
My stay was hosted by AVANI Atrium Bangkok. As always, all opinions are my own.
