Courtyard by Marriott Lima Miraflores – Hotel Review

The trip to Peru couldn’t start any other way than by spending two days in Lima, its beautiful capital city. My boyfriend and me spent two nights at Courtyard by Marriott Lima and in this post you’ll learn more about my experience at the hotel.

Courtyard by Marriott Lima Location

Courtyard Lima is a modern hotel located in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Lima: Miraflores district. This is an area full of hotels, restaurants and places to visit. It was very easy to get around Lima by walking, taxi or by “metropolitano” (Lima’s bus rapid transit system).The ocean is just about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Honestly, Miraflores is the perfect location to stay if you are visiting Lima for the first time. It is a safe area to walk, even at night.

For those who don’t know, Courtyard is a brand owned by Marriott focusing on mid-range hotels for business travelers and tourists. The hotel has a modern and elegant style but the same time with a young look. The Courtyard Lima Miraflores has a lot of design and color. I loved the decoration of the public living next to the reception, which perfectly combined with the breakfast area.

Courtyard by Marriott Lima Room

Our room was a city view room with one king size bed. We were welcomed with a bottle of champagne and cheesecake. Is there a better way to start a trip?

In addition to the giant bed the room had a sofa, TV, refrigerator, coffee maker, desk, safe, wardrobe, storage spaces and bathroom (toiletries included). The room was super spacious, with plenty of space to store things which is something most travelers need when opening their luggage. We felt very comfortable and it was the perfect place to rest to explore Lima the following day.

Breakfast at Courtyard by Marriott Lima

One of my favorite parts of staying at hotels is breakfast and the one at Courtyard Lima Miraflores was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. Breakfast is served every morning at Bistro 400, the hotel’s restaurant.

A buffet breakfast is offered with a wide variety of quality products such as cheeses,meats, breads, cereals, fruits, juices, etc. As if that weren’t enough, breakfast also includes a plate from the menu that can be: french toasts, benedict eggs, scrambled eggs, chicharrón with bread, etc. I recommend you wake up a little earlier than planned because you’ll be spending a good time having breakfast as there are many delicious things to try!.

Bistro 400 is also open for lunch and dinner offering an international menu and drinks. It is a very nice and fun environment, ideal to relax at night. It is located on the ground floor of the hotel and is also available for visitors who aren’t staying at the hotel.

Hotel services

In addition to the rooms and the restaurant, the hotel has a gym (which I didn’t have time to check out), rooms for events and conferences, and The Market, a 24-hour shop where you can find snacks, drinks and some necessities.

Hotel staff

My stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Lima was excellent and this would not have been like that without the hotel staff. At all times they made us feel welcome and they asked us if there was anything they could do for us. They were super friendly so thanks a lot to the hotel saff!

I greatly enjoyed my two days in Lima and the stay at Courtyard Lima Miraflores. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all travelers who are looking for a modern hotel, with excellent location and where they will be treated wonderfully by the staff.
