Cafayate is a destination located in the northwest of Argentina, chosen by those who want to enjoy natural landscapes, traditional food and good wine. In the middle of the beautiful Calchaquí Valleys lays Grace Cafayate Hotel, one of the most luxurious hotels in Argentina.
On my trip to Cafayate, my boyfriend and I had the opportunity to stay two nights in this stunning hotel and in this post I will tell you all about the experience.

The main building at Grace Cafayate
Grace Cafayate location
Grace Cafayate is a boutique hotel by Grace Hotels, a group of luxury boutique hotels in the best destinations in the world. In Argentina Grace Cafayate is the only hotel they have and Grace La Dolfina will open soon in Cañuelas, in the province of Buenos Aires.
Grace Cafayate is located within “La Estancia de Cafayate”, a private property of more than 500 hectares where in addition to the hotel, there is a private neighborhood and golf course. The estancia is located on the outskirts of the city of Cafayate (5 minutes by car), immersed in the landscape of the Calchaquí Valleys, in the south of the province of Salta.
You access to the hotel from the legendary national route 40. We drived from Salta capital city in a car that we rented through rentalcars.
Rooms and villas
Grace Cafayate Hotel has a main building with a majestic entrance where the rooms, suites and hotel services are located.
On the other hand, the hotel also has 20 villas with different sizes and categories, which are separated from the main building. We stayed in a Master Suite Villa.

Our villa in Grace Cafayate
Upon arrival, the hotel staff greeted us with a welcome glass of wine to check in and took us to our villa in a gold cart (the villas are not far but they put your luggage in the cart so it’s easier).
The hotel has a modern design providing guests with all the comforts but at the same time maintaining a close connection with the exterior and beautiful landscapes of Cafayate.
The Master Suite Villas are equipped with a big living room, a fully equipped kitchen (with refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher, utensils), a toilet, a main bathroom with shower and bathtub, a dressing room, a room with a king bed and a private terrace with jacuzzi and barbecue.
The decoration is modern and with at the same time brings some traditional elements of Cafayate like the beautiful photographs of Salta landscapes.

The space of the villa is really huge and we were very comfortable the 2 days we spent there. The best thing about the villas, in addition to the privacy they have, are the direct views of the vineyards. Watching the sunset fall over the mountains from the terrace while drinking a glass of wine is priceless.
Grace Cafayate restaurant
The restaurante is located inside the hotel’s main building. It can be visited by anyone, not only hotel guests. It is open for lunch, tea time or dinner.
The restaurant prices are affordable, contrary to what you might think of a fancy place like this. If you are not staying at Grace Hotel, I still recommend having dinner in its restaurant one night as it’s one of the best in Cafayate.
The menu offers typical Argentine foods like empanadas or locro, meats, pasta, salads, pizzas and other options. Everything is delicious and the staff is super helpful.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served each morning in the same restaurant. As the days were beautiful, we decided to have breakfast on the terrace that overlooks the pool and the vineyards.
The “calchaquí breakfast” includes a buffet breakfast with many options of fruits, cereals, seeds, eggs, breads and more.
Pool and spa
Grace Cafayate has an outdoor swimming pool that can be used by all hotel guests. It has 3 levels and views of the vineyards, of course. In the pool area there is also a bar where drinks are served every afternoon.
For those who prefer a heated swimming pool, there is also an indoor pool at the spa. The spa also has individual rooms for treatment, a steam room, sauna, and showers.
We spent two amazing days at Grace Cafayate and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to spend a few days immersed in the beautiful landscapes of Cafayate, in a stunning hotel to relax and enjoy this beautiful part of Argentina. You won’t find any other hotel like this one in Cafayate region.
Thanks to the hotel staff who were very helpful, friendly and present in every detail so that we had an impeccable stay. For more information, this is the hotel’s website: https://graceargentina.com.ar
My stay was partially covered by Grace Cafayate but as always all opinions are based on my experience.
